Chandigarh: Praveer Ranjan, a 1993-batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre, will be the new UT DGP, replacing Sanjay Baniwal, a 1989-batch officer. Ranjan’s transfer orders were issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday. He was posted as the Special Commissioner of Police, Delhi. The posting orders of Baniwal are yet to be issued.
