Raza takes lead on Day 1 of golf meet

Raza Kaur took a lead in the Open Gross category with a score of 73 on the first day of the 31st Punjab Open Ladies Amateur Golf Championship at Chandigarh Golf Club. Amreen Sandhu finished the day at second position with a score of 75.

Shalini Sheoran took the lead in the Gold Division (Handicap 0-18) with a gross score of 83, being followed by Pauline JM Singh, who recorded a gross score of 84.

In the Silver Division (Handicap 19-24), Deepshika Pasari, Manishtha Rao and Neeru Singh are locked in a close contest, tied at score of 92. In the Bronze division (Handicap 25-30) Cynthia Sandhu ended the day with a score of 97, followed by Neelam Garg at 100.

In the girls’ juniors U-18 category, Bhavya Mann lead with 81, followed by Hunar Gill (85), whereas in the U-13 sub junior event, Aarushi Sharma (85) and Mahira Sharma (114) ended up with top two positions on the Day 1.
