Reet-Naisha clinch title

Chandigarh: Reet Arora and Naisha Garg drubbed Aashi Kashyap and Janhavi Chougule 6-1 6-1 to win the girls’ U-12 doubles title in the ongoing Roots-AITA CS (7) National Ranking Championship here on Thursday. In the boys’ U-12 doubles final, Aarav Dhekial and Mayin Dingankar came from behind to beat Heet Kandoriya and Dev Kesaria 3-6 7-5(10-8). In the boys’ U-12 singles semifinals, Dingankar stunned top seed Kandoriya 3-6 6-4 6-1, while Dhekial registered a 6-4 6-4 win over Kesaria. In the girl’s U-12 singles contest, Jasmine Kaur beat Naisha 2-6 6-0 6-1 to set up the title clash with Miraya Aggarwal, who overcame Reet 6-4 2-6 6-1. TNS
