The Mohali administration has ordered that the weekend curfew in all municipal towns of the district will continue till September 30. Further, the movement of individuals for all non-essential activities shall remain prohibited between 7 pm and 5 am within the municipal limits of cities throughout the week.

The shops and malls will remain open till 6.30 pm and will be closed on weekends while those dealing in essential commodities will operate till 6.30 pm daily.

Much to the delight of shopkeepers, the odd-even system for opening shops in the market has gone.

Restaurants, including those in malls, can be opened till 6.30 pm on weekdays. On weekends, only home delivery will be allowed till 6.30 pm. Hotels and liquor vends can also open till 6.30 pm daily.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
