Ridhima wins twin gold
Ridhima has won two gold medals in Open Shuttlers Badminton Tournament organised under the aegis of the Chandigarh Badminton Association at the Sector 42 Sports Complex. Around 400 players participated in the tournament played in age categories from U-11 to U-17.
Ridhima won the girls U-15 title by defeating Bhawna Chahal. Jaya Verma and Riya Yadav claimed the joint third position. In the girls U-17 final, Ridhima defeated Bhawna, while Pratibha and Tansika Nandal bagged a bronze medal each.
In the boys U-11 category, Laxit Bhagat claimed the gold medal by defeating Hiyan Yadav. Hreeday Bansal and Kanwarjeet Singh shared the bronze medal. Abhijay Anand won the boys U-13 gold medal and Yuraj Kalra won silver. Harshbir Singh Dhillon and Shreenav Jugran also bagged a bronze each. In the boys U-15 final, Garvit defeated Tusya Nakra, while Vansh Sood and Tanush Prashar shared the joint third position. Rana Rudra Pratap won the boys U-17 gold, followed by Vaibhav Giri at second position, and the third position shared by Chiranshu Dhawan and Sushain Bindal.
Aadya Meena defeated Anahita to win the girls’ U-11 final, while Arnaaz and Kaylin ended their campaign at joint third position. In the girls’ U-13 category, Avni Makhloga won the gold medal, followed by Sanvi Sharma winning the silver. Riddhima and Divnoor Kaur shared third position.
