Rlys open booking of reserved tickets

The Ambala division the Northern Railways has opened PRS counters of all A1, A and B category stations from Friday at Ambala Cantt, Yamunanagar Jagadhari, Saharanpur, Rajpura, Sirhind, Chandigarh, Kalka, Patiala, Bathinda, Abohar and Una.

Besides, all existing PRS and UTS-cum-PRS counters, the division will be opened from tomorrow to facilitate booking of reserved tickets. From May 25, passengers would also be able to get refund from these counters for the tickets booked prior to lockdown.

Bare minimum staff will be utilised for functioning of these counters.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Hari Mohan said, “It will be ensured that passengers maintain ‘do gaj ki doori’ while standing in queue for booking tickets. All UTS counters will remain closed.”

In a bid to graded restoration of passenger services, 100 pair of trains will start to run from June 1. Fifteen pairs of trains are already in service. Booking of the same has been started through website and application of the IRCRC.
