Several roads in Mohali are dotted with potholes and need re-carpeting to avoid accidents. The pedestrian path on either side of roads are encroached upon by the water supply authorities for laying external pipelines. Pedestrians are denied safe passage on side berms and paths. The authorities should take action in this regard.

Broken road

Small patch of a road to the driving licence office in Sector 82, Mohali, is broken and in a state of neglect. The patch has potholes, giving bumpy rides to those visiting the office. Senior citizens are the worst sufferers. In the rainy season, the patch becomes muddy and slippery. Moreover, it is a narrow patch. Only one car can pass through it at a time. The authorities should look after this.
