Projects worth Rs 4 crore were approved during a meeting of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti held under the chairmanship of Member of Parliament and former Union Minister Manish Tewari.

The session focussed on long-pending issues related to the hospital’s development. Tewari said that an ambulance would be provided from the MP’s quota to offer medical services to senior citizens at doorstep. Additionally, new staff will be appointed under the samiti quota and a 24x7 helpline will be launched for senior citizen patients to ensure that they can be transported from home during medical emergencies.

Moreover, a proposal for Rs 1 crore was made to procure medical journals and anti-plagiarism software for students of the hospital’s affiliated medical college.
