Mayor Ravi Kant Sharma calls on Chandigarh Adviser Dharam Pal

Mayor Ravi Kant Sharma today met UT Adviser Dharam Pal and raised the issue of release of grant of Rs 40 crore for developmental works to be carried out in 13 villages.
Earlier, the Administration had released Rs50 crore from a total budget of Rs90 crore for the 13 villages merged with the Municipal Corporation last year.
The Mayor also requested the Adviser to follow up the issue with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) regarding the implementation of release of grant to the MC according to the recommendations of the Delhi 4th Finance Commission.
The Mayor also raised concern to follow up the matter to hand over the department of Registeration and Licensing Authority (RLA) to the MC. He also requested the Adviser to settle the issues of Chandigarh Housing Board on the Delhi pattern.
He said the Adviser assured him that he would take up the matter with the MHA on priority.
