The women’s badminton team of the Regional Sports Board (RSB) Mumbai defeated RSB Chandigarh 2-1 to march into semifinals of the All India Civil Services Badminton Tournament organised by the UT Sports Department.

The team of Central Secretariat defeated RSB Kanpur 2-0, while RSB Hyderabad also logged an identical 2-0 win over Bihar. RSB Patna also marched ahead by defeating RSB Bhubaneswar 2-0.

In the pre-quarterfinals, Central Secretariat defeated RSB Indore 2-1 and RSB Kanpur ousted RSB Dehradun 2-0. Bihar Secretariat defeated Gujarat Secretariat 2-0, and RSB Hyderabad ousted Chhattisgarh 2-1. RSB Chandigarh defeated Karnataka and RSB Bhubaneswar outplayed Kerala by identical scores of 2-0 each. In the last two matches, RSB Mumbai defeated RSB Ahmadabad 2-1 and RSB Patna also logged a 2-1 win over RSB Chennai.

In the men’s category, RSB Indore ousted RSB Chandigarh 3-0 to confirm their berth in the semis. RSB Mumbai faced a tough resistance from RSB Chennai before logging a 3-2 win, while RSB Shimla defeated RSB Hyderabad and RSB Kolkata outplayed RSB Bengaluru by identical scores of 3-0 each. In pre-quarterfinals, RSB Chandigarh defeated Chhattisgarh, RSB Indore ousted RSB Bhubaneswar, RSB Chennai defeated RSB Imphal, RSB Mumbai blanked Gujarat, RSB Hyderabad ousted RSB Dehradun 3-0 and RSB Bengaluru outplayed RSB Jaipur by identical one-sided scores of 3-0.

RSB Kolkata defeated RSB Chhattisgarh 3-1 and RSB Shimla ousted RSB Ahmadabad 3-1 in last two games.
