The pair of Ruma Gaikwari and Priyanka Rodricks ousted Divya Sharma and Tejasvi Dabas in a keenly-contested encounter to book a spot in the doubles final at the CLTA-AITA National Ranking Championships. The pair came through a 7-6(4), 6-4 win at the Sector 10 CLTA Complex.

The second semifinal saw the Riya Sachdeva-Mahika Khanna combine log an easy 6-2, 6-4 win over Sherry Sharma and Reet Arora.

Meanwhile, in the quarterfinals of the singles category, top seed Tejasvi Dabas defeated Delhi’s Lakshmi Gowda 6-3 6-3.

In an upset, Arushi Raval took out fourth seed Delhi’s Jeetesh Kumari. Arushi took the opening set 6-2 but Jeetesh bounced back in the second 5-7. Down to a decider, Arushi stepped up her level and drew a bagel 6-0 to move into the semifinals.

More upsets were recorded as eighth seed Haryana’s Aditi Tyagi got the better of third seed Delhi’s Riya Sachdeva. Mahika Khanna, meanwhile, stunned the second seed Sanjay Sohini Mohanty. Both matches were won by an identical score of 6-4 6-2.
