The Administration is all set to remove Sanjay Colony of Industrial Area and Janta Colony in Sector 25.

The Deputy Commissioner’s Office has decided to remove Sanjay Colony on April 24. It is spread over 6 acres. The date for the removal of Janta Colony will be decided later.

Earlier, the High Court had stayed the Administration’s action. The court ordered that before demolishing the colonies, a hearing should be held. The Administration heard the residents of both colonies. However, it rejected the claims made by the residents, paving the way for demolition.
