Chandigarh, August 5
The BJP national council member, Sanjay Tandon, today met the Punjab Governor and UT Administrator, VP Singh Badnore, to apprise him of problems of the people highlighted through memorandums.
Badnore directed officers concerned to resolve issues.
Tandon said the first memorandum was pertaining to pension of retired teachers of government-aided schools. Amid legal complications, retired teachers were deprived of the “Triple benefits scheme”, which Tandon urged for early reinstatement.
Whereas in the second memorandum on behalf of the Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) Resident Welfare Association, Tandon emphasised on ‘need-based changes’. — TNS
