Sarthak, Aryan to clash for title

Top seed Sarthak Gandhi will face second seed Aryan Thakur in the boys’ U-18 final of the Roots-AITA Challenge Series (7) National Ranking Tennis Championship in Zirakpur tomorrow.
In the semi-finals played today, Gandhi defeated Debasis Sahoo 6-2, 7-6(2), whereas Thakur ousted Samarbir Singh 6-4, 6-4. Meanwhile, in the girls’ U-18 semis, Diva Bhatia blanked Riya Kaushik 6-2, 6-3 and Ruma Gaikaiwari ousted second seed Harnoor Sidhu 6-4 6-3.
Rishi-Madhav win doubles title
Rishi Dahiya and Madhav Sharma won the boys’ U-18 doubles title by defeating Aryan Arora and Samarbir Singh 6-4, 7-6(10). In the girls’ U-18 doubles final, Ruma Gaikaiwari and Suhani Sabharwal registered 7-5, 6-4 win over Diva Bhatia and Rubani Sidhu.
