Satinder Malik registered a 21-13, 21-14 win over Mohammed Munir to win the men’s 35+ title during the Chandigarh State Masters & Para Badminton Championship organised by the Chandigarh Badminton Association at the Sector 42 sports complex. Amit Sondhi and Gurbhash Singh claimed the third and fourth position, respectively.

In the doubles event, Satinder Malik and Amit Sondhi defeated Mohammed Munir and Arpan Kumar 21-18, 21-15. In the men’s 40 final, Akash Sethi logged a 21-11, 21-16 win over Naresh Kundu. Binny Bansal won the women’s 40+ event by defeating Isha Gupta 21-17, 21-12. Mala Gabba finished third. In the men’s doubles final, the team of Paras Gupta and Akash Sethi registered a comeback 18-21, 21-05, 21-12 win over Vijendra Kumar and Gaurav. Isha Gupta and Mala Gabba won the women’s doubles 40+ final by defeating Binny Bansal and Geeta Mahajan 21-14, 21-10. In the mixed doubles 40+ event, Akash Sethi and Binny Bansal logged a 21-15, 21-18 win over Paras Gupta and Isha Gupta.

Nikhil Charri recorded a 21-12, 21-19 win over Raminder Singh to win the men’s 45+ final. Geeta Mahajan won the women’s 45+ gold medal by defeating Sudha 21-14, 21-11, while Raminder Singh and Amardeep Singh registered a 21-16, 16-21, 21-18 win over Aditya Tripathi and Inderpreet Singh to win the men’s doubles 45+ event.

In the mixed doubles final, the team of Geeta Mahajan and Rajeevan Bansal defeated Kuldeep Sharma and Sudha 21-18, 21-14. Deepak Saxena registered a 21-10, 21-15 win over Tejinder Bedi to win the men’s 50+ final. In the women’s 50+ final, Lavita defeated Nisha Jain 21-17, 21-12. Rajesh Bhatia and Geeta Agarwal won the mixed doubles 50+ final by defeating Deepak Sexena and Lavita 27-12, 18-21, 21-19, while Lavita and Geeta Agarwal won the women’s doubles final by logging a 21-13, 21-9 win over Kabita and Samarjeet. In the men’s doubles title clash, Deepak Saxena and Rajneesh Bhatia lifted the title by defeating Riyaz and Tanny Manu 21-19, 21-16.

In the para players’ category, Mahavir Prasad defeated Sarvesh 21-14, 21-16 to win the SL3 category. In the SL4 event, Sahil Bidla logged a 21-18, 21-15 win over Sachin Kumar. In the WH1 and WH2 final, Sanjeev Kumar defeated Ajay 21-12, 21-10.
