Hosts Saupin’s School, Sector 32, and Vivek High School, Mohali, won the 2nd J Saupin Memorial U-16 Basketball Tournament for boys and girls, respectively, today.

In the boys’ final, the Sector 32 team recorded a 27-16 win over Vivek High School. Apaar Sood gathered the maximum points for the team. He was also adjudged the Player of the Tournament. Japjit of Vivek High claimed the best shooter title, while Agamveer Singh was named best blocker of the tournament. In the semis, the Sector 32 team had recorded a 30-15 win over New Public School, Sector 18, while Vivek High lads posted a 27-20 win over Learning Paths School, Mohali.

In the girls’ category, the Vivek High team logged an easy 14-6 win over Learning Paths School. Saanvi Ranot claimed the Player of the Tournament title, while Navya was adjudged best shooter. Alina was named best blocker of the tournament. In semis, the Learning Paths team defeated the hosts 15-3, while Vivek High eves posted a 13-11 win over St Peter’s School, Sector 37.

Principal Surita Sharma awarded the winners and runners-up.
