The Ankur School marked the commencement of its 50th year with a grand celebration today. The event was graced by the chief guest Yojna Rawat, Director Research and Development Cell, Panjab University. School principal Aruna Dhiman welcomed the attendees and spoke about the school's journey of 50 years. At the event, an open gym was inaugurated, followed by the unfurling of a golden jubilee banner with a new school logo and a human chain was formed by the students to symbolise unity. The event concluded with a community outreach at Blind Institute, Sector 26, Old Age Home, Sector 15 and a donation drive.

Tribune School

Chandigarh Traffic Police conducted an informative session at Tribune School, Sector 29, to introduce the newly formed Road Safety Club. The session aimed to educate selected students about traffic rules and road safety measures. Parvesh Sharma, a team of seven police officials engaged with students, highlighted the importance of responsible road behavior. Through interactive discussions, students were made aware of essential traffic regulations, pedestrian safety and the role of the Road Safety Club in promoting awareness among their peers.

Sri Chaitanya Techno School

A Science Exhibition was organised at the Sri Chaitanya Techno School, Sector 44. The objective was not only to inculcate a scientific attitude and research- mindedness but also to enhance student's interest in science and technology. The students showcased static and working models, which could be used for teaching and learning scientific concepts, especially for students of the grades 1 to 10. The event was attended by Ranjan Sethi, president, Sanjay Gandhi Educational Society, and Councillor Saurabh Joshi.

AKSIPS-45 Smart School

The AKSIPS, Sector 45, Smart School organised an educational visit for the students of Classes 7 and 8 to the Botanical Garden and Energy Park. Students were informed about various renewable energy technologies and the importance of reducing carbon footprints. During the visit, students took a tour of the park's numerous installations, including solar panels, wind turbines and energy-efficient innovations.

Bhavan Vidyalaya

The Department of Neurology at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) successfully hosted the 16th Regional Brain Bee Quiz in collaboration with the Indian Brain Bee, International Brain Bee, and the Society for Neuroscience at Bhavan Vidyalaya , Sector 15. Two students from Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula, Mansi Tiwari and Vrinda Salaria qualified for the regional level of the competition. Mansi emerged as the first runner-up and will represent the region at the national level, to be held in Chandigarh in May 2025.

PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya

The first-ever Alumni Meet of the PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sector 29, was organised today. As many as 50 former alumni attended the reunion. The festivities began with welcome song and performance by current students infused the event with vibrancy and enthusiasm. This was followed by an interactive session where alumni shared their experiences, reminiscing about their school days filled with fun and learning.

Mount Carmel

Mount Carmel School, Zirakpur, hosted a culinary arts workshop to celebrate International Women's Day. The event was celebrated in association with NFCI Hotel Management and Cooking Institute, Mohali. The workshop was conducted for Mothers and grandmothers of Foundational wing. Participants gained valuable skills, played games and discovered innovative techniques.
