School notes: Chandigarh Public School, Baltana

The school celebrated its annual day function at the Indradhanush Auditorium. The event began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest, Dera Bassi MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa, followed by saraswati vandana. Principal Pooja Sharma presented annual report of the school. Various cultural events on themes of education, patriotism, yoga, karate, nature and forgiveness were presented by the students. Planet act by the children of pre- nursery was liked by the audience. The show concluded with the power packed performance of gidda and bhangra by the students of classes 5 and 8.

Satluj Public School, Panchkula

The school units have achieved remarkable success, securing the No. 1 rank in Panchkula, No. 1 in Haryana, and an impressive No. 3 in India among CBSE day-schools. Managing Director Reekrit Serai has been conferred with the title of ‘Most Strategic Leader’ at the India School Merit Awards 2023, hosted by Education Today.

GMS, Mani Majra

A millet competition was held at the school premises under the Eat Right challenge. Staff members of the school prepared healthy dishes to encourage the consumption of millets. Students participated in rangoli and poster-making competitions. The incharge of the school, Sunita Tandon highlighted the benefits of millets and urged everyone to include it in their diet.

Mount Carmel School, Zirakpur

In a celebration of the joy of parenthood and the essence of infancy, the school hosted its baby show ‘Giggles and Grins’. The event concluded with a valedictory ceremony where participants received certificates of participation and winners were given tokens of appreciation.

The school bid a heartfelt farewell to the batch of 2024. The celebration featured speeches, emotional tributes, and captivating performances. Mementos were presented and the day concluded with a lunch and a dance.

Amravati Vidyalaya, Panchkula

The school bid farewell to the outgoing Class 12 batch of 2023-24. An array of activities like songs, dance and other captivating performances marked the day. The event concluded with the announcement of Miss Elegant and Mr Dashing which was well received by Gunidhi and Chirag Arora respectively followed by Miss Amravati to Mannat and Mr Amravati to Pratik Sinha.

Hansraj Public School, Panchkula

The school organised a good luck party for the students of Class 10 to mark the onset of the forthcoming examinations. Apt titles and mementoes were presented to the students and blessings were showered for their bright future.

Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh

The school held a two-day winter carnival, ‘MCC-2024’. The food stalls, exhilarating rides and exciting games allured everyone. The stage was lit with dance and singing performances besides students from different schools from the tri-city participating in number of competitions. The carnival reached its zenith with the MCC Fashion Show.

The Tribune School, Chandigarh

The School organised an ‘Orientation Session-cum-Parent Teacher Meeting’ for the parents of students of Class 10. Special focus was driven towards providing the right support and counselling before the Class 10 board examinations. Counselling and examination tips were given by the counselling cell and examination department to the parents. Principal Rani Poddar thanked the parents for their constant support, trust and belief in the institution.

Saint Soldier International School

The school conducted a good luck assembly to extend best wishes to the students of classes 10 and 12 who are gearing up to appear for their board examinations. Principal Vijaya Sidhu imparted words encouragement to the students, wishing them success in their upcoming examinations.

Manav Rachna International School

The school organised an educational trip for students of Class I to the Dev Darshan Dhoop factory where they learnt about the production and packaging process of various types of incense sticks.

Blue Bird High School, Panchkula

The students of class IX, staff and management held a good luck party for the students of Class X in the school campus. Bhavya and Naina were declared Mr and Miss Blue Bird, respectively. Students of Class 9 presented an entertaining cultural programme.

The school organised a havan ceremony for the students of Class 10 for the board exams. School director Lalita Prakash, blessed the students with positivity and hopefulness to succeed in the forthcoming exams.
