School notes: Chitkara International, Sector 25

Chitkara International School, Sector 25, celebrated its annual function, "Pushp - A Flowery Tale Experience". The Panchkula campus event was attended by Varun Choudhary, MP; Satpal Kaushik, District Education Officer, Panchkula; and Shekhar Chandra, Regional Officer, CBSE, Panchkula. Meanwhile, the Chandigarh campus hosted a three-day celebration attended by Shipra Bansal, Chairperson, Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR); and Prerna Puri, Secretary, Education. Students' performances, including dances, theatre acts and songs were inspired by the theme of flowers.

Gurukul Global, Sector 13

Gurukul Global School organised its Kids' Carnival 2024, at its Sector 13, campus. The event aimed to blend festive cheer with a spirit of inclusivity and social responsibility. It featured a special stall by "Silver Linings", Rehabilitation and Technology Centre for the Blind, set up within Gurukul Global School's premises.

Small Wonders, Phase 7

Small Wonders School, Phase 7, celebrated their annual music day on the theme, "Symphony of Seasons", which depicts the bridge that unites different seasons, each with its own rhythm, colors and beauty. The tiny tots presented a variety of songs in English, Hindi and Punjabi, ranging from prayers, rhymes and concluding with famous Christmas carols and ushering in the New Year.

Kids-R-Kids, Sector 42

Class 1 and 2 students from Kids-R-Kids Secondary School, Sector 42, visited the Sector-23 Traffic Park to learn about road safety and traffic rules. The visit aimed to instil in young minds the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and ensuring their own safety while on the roads. During the visit, the children were guided by experts who explained various traffic rules in a fun and interactive manner.

CGC, Landran

As many as 2,600 students of Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran, were awarded degrees at the 18th annual convocation of the institution, which included more than 60 meritorious students. The gold medallists including Prachi Saini, Beenu Shiwani Kumari, Dheeraj K Guatam, Mandeep Kumar, Pritpal Singh, Sonali Garg, Harmanjot Kaur, Muskanpreet Kaur, Manish Thakur, Disha, Khushboo, Twinkle, Bhathla, Aditi Verma, Naina Jariyal, Siya, Meghna Sood, Dhairya, Vanshika, Palak Rani, Priyanka Kaundal, Aashima Sharma, Hirishita Dhawan, Piyush Tripathi, Jasleen Kaur, Ramandeep, Ishika Verma, Himani Tanwar, Maninder Kaur, Muskan Gautam, Nitika Bhargava, Pooja Chaudhary, Rohit, Sumit Khetwal, Niharika, and Simranpreet Kaur were awarded the honours.

GCCBA, Sector 50

The Government College of Commerce and Business Administration (GCCBA), Sector 50, celebrated World Meditation Day. An event aimed to promote the benefits of meditation for mental well-being and stress relief was also organised. The event highlighted how meditation can enhance focus, productivity, and overall happiness. It encouraged everyone to integrate meditation into their routines for a balanced life.
