The event featured dance performances by students of Class IX, a captivating skit and exciting games, making it a memorable occasion. The highlight of the event was motivational speeches delivered by school director Amita Khorana and the principal.

Mohali: Students of Class XII, members of the school choir and staff members got together to put up a wonderful show to bid farewell to the outgoing students of Class XII at Yadavindra Public School. The show started with a spirited bhangra performance, interesting games and a dance party. The ‘Mr Well Dressed’ title was given to Hargunbeer Singh while Pritika Kaushal was crowned the ‘Ms Well Dressed’. The punctuality award was given to Angadveer Singh Mathru.

Mohali: As part of the ‘Fit India’ initiative, Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh, organised an event encouraging health, mindfulness and cancer awareness. The day began with a high-energy cyclothon from New Chandigarh to Sukhna Lake, followed by a spirited walkathon led by Interact Club members to spread awareness about cancer. Students also participated in a rejuvenating yoga session, fostering mindfulness and physical well-being.

The celebration commenced with ‘Saraswati Vandana’, followed by various activities such as kite flying and poster making that showcased the artistic prowess of students.

Sacred Heart School

Chandigarh: Two faculty members of Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, Monica Sharma and Nalini Ajay, have been conferred with the Kalam Memorial Teacher’s Award. Out of over 1,000 applicants, the duo underwent a rigorous year-long scrutiny process, emerging among the 23 awardees nationwide. The award is an annual award that recognises and honours outstanding teachers for their significant contributions in the field of education.

Bhavan Vidyalaya Junior School

Chandigarh: Bhavan Vidyalaya Junior School, Sector 33, embraced the spirit of Basant Panchami under the aegis of ‘Sanskara’ — the human excellence cell of the school, showcasing the essence of spring and knowledge. The assembly commenced with the principal and teachers of the school performing the ‘Saraswati Puja’ amidst the tranquil melodies of the ‘Saraswati Vandana’, invoking the blessings of the goddess of wisdom, wafting through the entire school campus.
