School Notes: St Xavier’s School, Sector 44

St Xavier's Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, organised its annual athletics meet. Gurleen Kaur and Gurnaaz Kaur claimed top two positions in stepping stone, while in the ball balancing saw Aisha, Mansahej , Prabhleen, Harnoor, Akshita and Lakshreet claimed medals. In matki race, Aadya, Rasleen , Jasmeet and Anannya won medals. Hariansh won the balancing cone in the boys' event, followed by Aarav and Ashmeet, while Shivay, Aveer Gobind and Samar claimed medals in rabbit race. Kabir, Vansh, Anhad and Priyanshu claimed medals in octopus race.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 33

Bhavan Vidyalaya Junior School, Sector 33, commemorated Vijay Diwas to honour the victory of the Indian Armed Forces over Pakistan during the 1971 war. A special assembly was organised, followed by an insightful speech and poem recitation. The assembly also featured a rendition of the patriotic song "Hindustan Ki Kasam".

St Anne’s Convent School

Principal Siji Issac along with vice-principal Regina, teachers and students reached out to people in Burail, Dhanas, Missionaries of Charity, Burail Jail and Prabh Asra, a rehabilitation centre for mentally challenged. Woollens were donated for underprivileged children of Jammu and Kashmir through an army truck, which was flagged off from KBDAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 7.

JPA Toddlers' School

JPA Toddlers' World School celebrated their annual function, "Blossoms". Principal Neena Atray inaugurated the show and the students perform a group dance. Plays "Sita Swayamvar" and "The Capseller and the Monkeys" were also organised. Toddlers also performed to the tunes of "Razzle Dazzle".

Shivalik Public School, Sector 78

Shivalik Public School, Sector 78, hosted its annual function, "The Roar of Unity", celebrating unity, courage, and strength. Conceptualised by Rupinder Brar, a drama expert, the event featured performances by students, conveying the message teamwork and was attended by Shivalik Public School, Sector 4, principal Gurkiranjit Nalwa.
