School notes: Thematic assembly ‘Virasat-E-Punjab, Sadda Punjab, Saddi Shaan’ staged

The students of Class III of Preparatory Wing of Yadavindra Public School, Mohali, staged their thematic assembly titled ‘Virasat-E-Punjab, Sadda Punjab, Saddi Shaan’. It was a symphony of music, dance and theatre in which all the students of Class III got an opportunity to showcase their talent. All the students convincingly brought the vibrant hues of Punjab alive on stage. The bhangra performance was the showstopper which received a huge applause from the the audience. The director, Maj Gen TPS Waraich VSM (Retd), congratulated the students and staff for a magnificent show.

AKSIPS-41 Smart School, Chandigarh

A sports day was organised in AKSIPS 41 Smart School, Chandigarh to commemorate the birth anniversary of the founder, Ajit Karam Singh. The young champs from Nursery to Class II participated in various events like: tricycle race, basket the ball race, obstacle race, balance the ball race, knock the ball race, hurdle race, colour coding race, and bounce the ball race with great spirit, enthusiasm and fun.The highlight of the day was the ‘jaledbi race’ where the little ones could be seen jumping up to savour the delicious sweet.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, celebrated its annual Investiture Ceremony. The event proceeded with the introduction and felicitation of the newly appointed School Core members Anvi Muradia, Eshan Batta, and Reeva Singh. Additionally, the ceremony featured the introduction and badge awarding for the new House Council members, recognising their vital contributions to student governance and school spirit. The ceremony concluded with inspiring remarks by principal Gulshan Kaur, who emphasised the core values of leadership, responsibility, and dedication cherished by the institution.

CL DAV Sr Public School, Sector 11, Panchkula organised an enriching session for Classes VIII-XII by Morrie AI Learning App conducted by Waris Mir (business unit head). The session aimed at exploring the impact and potential of artificial intelligence in the educational sector, its benefits, challenges and future prospects.

Shishu Niketan School, Chandigarh

Raghav, a student of Class VI, from Shishu Niketan Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 22D, secured second place in the Cyber Design - Poster Making Competition organised by St Anne’s Convent School. The competition aimed to promote literacy and awareness about child protection rights. School director Amita Khorana congratulated Raghav on his achievement and commends.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh

Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh, commemorated the 79th anniversary of Hiroshima Day with a special assembly promoting peace, unity, and disarmament while honouring the people who lost their lives in the 1945 atomic bombing. Three Class VI students - Navya, Rababinder, and Jason - shared their experiences from a recent educational visit to Japan along with the school principal Inderpreet Kaur. They highlighted the country’s transformation after the devastation caused by the atomic bombing into a peaceful nation.

PML SD School, Chandigarh

An activity on clay modelling was conducted for kindergarten section of PML SD Public School (Petals), Sector 32, Chandigarh. The main objective of this activity was to stimulate the imagination of the children and enable them to give a better shape to the creativity. The little champs experienced the feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction.
