Children of toddlers and Montessori Primary of Vivek High School Mohali had their Annual Production themed 'Tick-Tock of Nature'. The children showcased their knowledge about the changes in the seasons caused due to the revolution of the Earth. They further delved on the festivities associated with the seasons in our culturally rich diverse country. Almost 310 children of Montessori Toddlers and Primary took part in the event with great zest as they presented the extravaganza of songs, dances and knowledge. Meenakshi Madaan, Head of Junior wing, Vivek High School, Mohali, commended the students' confidence in flawlessly carrying out the entire production.

The Tribune School

Chandigarh: The Tribune School's Science Department conducted a special Diwali assembly, showcasing the festival's cultural significance across diverse religions. Students presented thought-provoking speeches and shared personal anecdotes highlighting the dangers of firecrackers. Mohnish, a student, delivered a poignant poem advocating for a cracker-free Diwali. Principal Rani Poddar encouraged students to focus on inner enlightenment.

DAV, Sector 15

Chandigarh: Krityanjli, an exhibition was organised at DAV School, Sector 15, based on the theme of "Amrit kaal ka Bharat-The era of elixir". It was a peep into arduous efforts of creative minds, dexterous hands with amalgamation of traditional values and modern innovations. Prof Shantanu Bhattacharya applauded the artistic efforts of students. RC Jeevan, vice-chairman, Madhu Bahl, manager, and principals of DAV schools of the tricity attended the event. The event started with the lighting of ceremonial lamp followed by exhibition of varied hues of artistic skills.

Kundan International School

Chandigarh: Kundan International School celebrated its 18th Founders' Day. The event began with a march past by the NCC Army Wing, followed by a mesmerising flute band performance. Kundan Lal Trust treasurer Kapil Gupta welcomed the gathering. The evening showcased captivating cultural performances, including songs, dances, and skits, highlighting the theme "Rishte" (relationships). Students' vibrant performances underscored the significance of relationships in life.

St Soldier School

Mohali: St Soldier International Convent School, Mohali, hosted a Diwali Carnival, adding a spark to the festive spirit among students, staff and visitors. The Diwali fete featured a variety of food stalls offering delicious treats, alongside dance stalls that represented different cultures, immersing students in the diverse heritage of India. The school's Art Department presented a "Kalakriti" stall, showcasing creative art pieces crafted by students, drawing admiration from the visitors.

SD School

Chandigarh:Students from Classes VI to X of PML SD Public School, Sector 32, exhibited skills in a plethora of activities to mark Diwali celebrations. Many students participated in the debate and declamation competition. Principal Monica Sharma applauded the students for their efforts, encouraging further participation.

SGGS College

Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, celebrated Green Diwali and Bandi Chhor Diwas with a focus on eco-friendly festivities and cultural significance. A special highlight of the event was the Diwali Decor Stall, installed in collaboration with the Institute for the Blind, Sector 26. The stall featured handmade candles crafted by visually impaired students that were warmly received by faculty and students alike. The college also celebrated its recent achievements in the PU Youth and Heritage Festival 2024, where it won Second Runner-Up Overall Trophy.

GCCBA, Sector 50

Chandigarh: An interactive session on Career Growth and Personality Development was organised in Government College of Commerce and Business Administration, Sector 50. Suresh Kumar Gupta, former Head of Finance, HAFED, discussed the four personality types — choleric, melancholy, sanguine and phlegmatic. He shared practical tips for navigating workplace dynamics and improving interpersonal skills. Additionally, a personality test was offered to interested students, helping them assess their traits and improve self-awareness. Over 70 students participated in this interactive event, gaining valuable insights for their future professional environment.

Sukhmani Group Institutions

Mohali: Sri Sukhmani Group of institutions, Dera Bassi, organised fresher’s party Aagaz 2024. Fresh entrants of the Sri Sukhmani Institute of Engineering & Technology, Sri Sukhmani Institute of Pharmacy, Sri Sukhmani Institute of Hospitality & Management, Sri Sukhmani College of Law and Sri Sukhmani Polytechnic college were welcomed. A number of cultural programmes were organised. A host of cultural events like solo dance, solo song, bhangra, gidha, skit, etc showcased the creative side, team spirit and zeal of the students. It also provided a platform to students of the first and second year to demonstrate their talent and camaraderie.

CGC, Jhanjheri

Mohali: The Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Jhanjheri Campus, organised a Star Night event, with celebrated Bollywood singer Ankit Tiwari. Students and attendees enjoyed a lively performance as Tiwari sang his popular hits. CGC Chairman Rachpal Singh Dhaliwal welcomed the attendees.
