School student molested during bike ride

A school student was allegedly molested on a bike ride booked through a mobile-based ride-hailing service. The accused, identified as Shahnawaz, who hails from Uttar Pradesh but currently resides in Manimajra, was arrested.

According to the complaint, the incident took place near Sector 40. The accused driver allegedly touched the student inappropriately multiple times during the ride.

When the student protested, the accused allegedly threatened her. He tried to speed away but lost balance and the two fell. The student informed her family but the accused managed to flee by the time they reached the spot.

The police have identified the rider using the registration number of bike and launched a search. Meanwhile, a case has been registered at the Sector 39 police station. The police later found the bike abandoned in Manimajra.

According to the information, the student recorded the act on her mobile phone.
