Chandigarh: The Department of Pediatrics, PGIMER, is hosting the third scientific congress of the Asia Pacific Society for Immunodeficiencies (APSID). On the first day on Saturday, there were detailed presentations on various aspects of primary immunodeficiency disorders, including microbial infections and vaccination in PID, hereditary angioedema and auto-inflammatory syndromes. Chandigarh: An MoU was signed between DAV College, Sector 10, and the Centre of Innovation and Biodesign (CIBioD) of the PGIMER, Chandigarh. Tech expo at IMTECH
Chandigarh: A tech exposition workshop to promote start-ups and innovators was organised by the Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), in collaboration with IKP Knowledge Park, here on Saturday. The event was part of the government’s initiative to promote development activities which will create employment opportunities and boost the country’s economy. The exposition showcased translational ideas and supported researchers who want to create feasible start-up plans in the field of pharma, medical devices, diagnostics and agriculture. The format of the tech exposition was that of an investor meet with the aim to provide budding researchers with an experience of pitching to investors, learning the process of getting funding/investments and develop business proposals. Dr Manoj Raje, Officiating Director, IMTECH, laid stress on the need for such tech exposition workshops in all parts of the country. tns

Mohali: A symposium on the ‘Economy, Entrepreneurship and Environment: Expectations and Challenges’ was organised by the PG Department of Commerce and Management at GGDSD College, Kheri Gurna, here on Saturday. Academicians, entrepreneurs, environmental activists, scholars and learned professionals took part in the symposium. Staff and students from Pt Mohan Lal SD College for Women, Gurdaspur, and Pt.
