Chandigarh, December 12
To promote the use of the official language in research and development activities, a two-day National Scientific and Technical Seminar-2019 is being organised by the Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment (SASE), in association with other DRDO laboratories in Chandigarh like the Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL), Defence Institute of High Altitude Research (DIHAR) and Regional Center for Military Airworthiness (RCMA).
The event was inaugurated by Anurag Agrawal, Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, and Principal Secretary to Government, Haryana, Elections Department. Lauding the efforts of the Chandigarh cluster DRDO laboratories, he emphasised on importance of use of Hindi in administrative as well as in technical work.
SASE Director Naresh Kumar said a wide range of scientific and technical topics related to defence technologies, cryosphere, natural calamities, energy and food security and medicine will be deliberated during the seminar. Dr Manjit Singh, Director, TBRL, Dr OP Chaurasia, Director, DIHAR, and Vivek Kumar, Chief Engineer, RCMA, were also present on the occasion.
Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, New Delhi and Pune will be presenting their research work in Hindi during eight technical sessions. About 90 articles and research papers written in the official language have been registered for the event. — TNS
