A 27-year-old man died in a suspected hit-and-run near the Sector 17 bus stand on Saturday morning.

The victim, Gaurav Sharma of Khuda Ali Sher, was heading towards his mobile repair shop in Sector 22 when the incident occurred. According to initial reports, an unidentified vehicle hit Gaurav’s e-scooter, hurling him several metres and causing him to crash into an iron grille.

The police have not ruled out the possibility that Gaurav may have lost control of his e-scooter, though a hit-and-run remains the primary line of inquiry.
