Panchkula: Scrap dealers under scanner amid crackdown on sale of stolen goods
The police launched a stringent campaign targeting scrap dealers across the district. Notices have been served to all businesses and companies involved in the scrap trade to ensure that stolen items do not enter the market through such outlets.
According to the police directives, all warehouse and firm owners are required to submit complete records within seven days. This includes the warehouse address, camera details, a verified list of employees, GST registration number, and a detailed account of purchases and sales. Failure to comply within the stipulated time will result in strict legal action under the applicable laws.
