Scribe's 'Silent Conversations' released in city

Award-winning journalist and author Jupinderjit Singh’s fourth book, “Silent Conversations”, was launched at Tagore Theatre with a uniquely designed performance poetry – “Ardhnarishvara”.
Jupinderjit credits the Chandigarh Literary Society with waking up the writer and poet in him as he informs, “It was at a Chandigarh Literati Festival where I came up with the idea of writing a book on Bhagat Singh titled, ‘Discovery of Bhagat Singh’s Pistol and his Ahimsa’.”
Jupinderjit is not new to poems. He wrote his first poem when he was in Class IX, which was a love letter for his Hindi teacher. He believes journalism actually helped him in understanding emotions and sensitivities of different gender and class, especially of crime victims.
“My lead poem, ‘I bleed’ is based on the suffering of rape victims. It is based on brutal rape and murder of Delhi girl Nirbhaya and Canadian girl Jassi, about whom I also wrote a book, ‘Justice for Jassi’,” he adds. — TNS
