Sector 37 school claim under-19 softball gold

The boys’ U-19 team of Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 37, recorded a 5-0 win over Ryan International School, Sector 49, to win the inter-school softball tournament. The team of GMSSS, Sector 10, claimed third position by defeating GMSSS, Sector 15, by an identical score.

The team of GMSSS, Sector 8, won the boys’ U-17 final by defeating St Anne’s School, Sector 32, 9-1.

Meanwhile, DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 8, recorded a nine-wicket win over Vivek High School, Sector 38, to win the boy’s U-19 inter-school cricket tournament. Batting first, the Sector 38 team posted 62 in 10 overs with the help of Jujhar (19) and Abhishek (15). Abhimanyu Gill claimed four wickets, while Karan took three for the bowling side. In reply, the Sector 8 lads posted 66 in 8 overs with Agamjot posting 27 and Divjot contributing 18. Aadit claimed one wicket for the bowling side.
