Cash stolen from gurdwara box

Dera Bassi: Miscreants broke the collection box of the gurdwara at Isapur village on Thursday night and fled with cash. The CCTV footage shows two masked men cut open the grill of a window and turn the camera away around 1:30 am. In another incident, miscreants stole Rs 17,000 from the house of Talwinder Singh at Haripur Kuda village. TNS

Three booked for cheating

Chandigarh: The police have registered a case of cheating against Sector 20 residents Parvinder Singh, Balbir Singh and Mala Devi on the complaint of Anil Kumar. In his statement, the complainant mentioned that the suspects duped him of Rs27 lakh in lieu of sale of a house at Victoria Enclave in Pabhat. A case under Sections 406, 420 and 120-B of the IPC was registered at the Mani Majra police station on February 25. TNS

Missing person report lodged

Zirakpur: The police have registered a missing person report on the complaint of a Zirakpur resident, Avtar Singh. The complainant stated that Arjun Singh (19) had been missing from his house in New Defence Colony since February 2. The youth, who is mentally disturbed for the past sometime, left the house around 6 am. TNS
