Chandigarh, January 13
Sehbaaz Singh claimed four wickets as Chandigarh reduced Goa to 86/6 in their second innings on the rain-truncated third day of their Cooch Behar Trophy match at Government Model Senior Secondary School grounds at Sector 26 on Monday.
Trailing Chandigarh by 186 runs, Goa lost half of their side for just 19 runs. Sehbaaz was the wrecker-in-chief for the hosts, dismissing Gauresh Kambli (2), Deep Kasvankar (0) and Ayush Verlekar (5) in quick succession before returning to the attack to dismiss Mohit Redkar on 13. Raj Angad Bawa accounted for Piyush Yadav (4) and Faaiz (0).
At the close of play, skipper Kaushal Hattangadi, who scored a century in the first innings, was unbeaten on 53 and giving him company at the other end was Yogesh Kauthankar on four.

Chandigarh: A seven-wicket haul by Harshit helped Chandigarh bundle out hosts Mizoram for 105 runs in their first innings on the opening day of their Col CK Nayudu Trophy match at the Kandukuri Cricket Academy in Vizag. Opting to bat, Mizoram after a sedate beginning lost wickets at regular intervals. Harshit returned figures of 7/36, while Bhagmender Lather took 2/19. Skipper Amrit Lubana bagged 1/17. Chandigarh, in reply, were placed comfortably at 180/1 at the draw of stumps. Monarch Goyal was not out on 70, while Sanyam Saini was batting on 77. Tushar Joshi was run out on 22. TNS
