Selling acid sans licence, SDM seals containers in 3 factories

SDM Nazuk Kumar today sealed acid containers in three factories selling it without licence at the Industrial Area, Phase 1.

The sealing has been carried out on the direction of the Deputy Commissioner Mandip Singh Brar, who directed all SDMs to ensure that no one purchases acid without submitting a photo ID.

Shopkeepers have to obtain a licence to sell acid. The Deputy Commissioner convened a meeting with all SDMs and police officers regarding the issue last week. The DC directed all SDMs to catch hold of all illegal acid sellers in the tricity.

Nazuk directed the owners of the factories to get licence and give information regarding the sale and purchase of acid regularly.
