Seminar held on Punjabi language

The Punjab School Education Board held a discussion to restore the glory of the Punjabi language. Board Chairperson Amarpal Singh, in his address, said the legacy of the Gurus and Pirs in this country compels us to take firm steps towards refining the language and reviving moral values.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
