The Chandigarh Citizens Foundation brought togetherexperts and Senior Citizens Associations from across the Tricity to strengthen age-friendly healthcare services. It centred on improving access, dignity and quality of care for the region’s growing elderly population. Dr Niharika Suchak, Associate Professor of Geriatrics at Florida State University College of Medicine, shared global practices and service gaps that hinder elder care. The session, coordinated by Dr Bhavneet Bharti, Director AIMS Mohali, saw participants delve into operational challenges and solutions.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
