Chandigarh, February 17

A session on ‘Opportunities for Research in Regenerative Medicine’ was organised for Kashmiri students at the PU here today.

It was organised by the PU Dean International Students (DIS) and Dean Alumni Relations, in collaboration with the Centre for Systems Biology and Bioinformatics and CIL. Dr Sanjiv Dhingra, Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology at the University of Manitoba, was the key speaker. Prof Dhingra informed the participants that his research was based on cardiac regeneration and myocardial tissue engineering using stem cell-based and biomaterials-based approach to restore function after a cardiac injury.
