Sethi to coach Indian sub-jr badminton team

In a proud moment for Chandigarh and the UT Sports Department, local coach Bhuwan Sethi has been appointed the coach of Indian badminton sub-junior team by the Badminton Association of India (BAI).
Sethi, who is working under the UT Sports Department, will coach the sub- junior Indian team participating in Asian Sub-Junior Badminton Championship in China from August 20 to 25.
Sethi has earlier accompanied the Indian team to the World University Championship in Malaysia. He has a vast experience in coaching and trains hundreds of local shuttlers.
Chandigarh Badminton Association president Priyank Bharti and general secretary Surinder Mahajan congratulated Sethi on his international assignment.
“I would like to thank both the officials and the UT Sports Department for providing me a platform through which I proved my mettle in coaching. I am looking ahead for this new role given by the BAI and ensure that Indian shuttlers will perform above excellence in this tournament. The Indian badminton is achieving new heights, and I am happy to be part of it,” said Sethi.
