Chandigarh, July 14

In a decisive move to uphold the check any illegal activity on government land, the UT Administration has successfully executed an anti-encroachment drive at Raipur Kalan village. This operation, spearheaded by the Engineering Department with the support of the enforcement team of the Estate Office, targeted unauthorised occupations on government property.

During the drive, multiple unauthorised temporary structures were identified and subsequently removed from the site. This action has led to the reclamation of approximately 7 acres, which had been encroached upon.

The Chandigarh Administration’s commitment to preserve government land and ensure the city’s planned development was clearly demonstrated through this action. This anti-encroachment drive serves as a strong message that the administration was dedicated to maintaining the integrity of its lands and preventing unauthorised occupations.
