Seven arrested for gambling in Mohali


Mohali: Seven persons were arrested for gambling on the terrace of a showroom in Phase 1 here on Wednesday night. A sum of Rs1,00,300 and playing cards were recovered from them. The suspects have been identified as Rajesh Paswan, Irfan, Sikattar, Rakesh Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Dinesh Kumar and Rajesh. The police said four of them were from Chandigarh, two belonged to Mohali and one was from Balongi village. TNS

Demand to put Bill on hold
