Seven day NSS camp begins at Sarangpur village

Chandigarh, January 13

Volunteers of the National Service Scheme (NSS) of the National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE), PGIMER, will participate in various activities, including health survey, health mela, health education campaign and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, during a seven-day camp, which was inaugurated at Sarangpur village here today.

As many as 152 NSS volunteers along with programme officers Meenakshi Agnihotri and Shabana Parveen are attending the camp at Sarangpur village and NINE campus.

The camp was inaugurated by Bikram Rana, state liaison officer, NSS. He encouraged and sensitised volunteers to get connected to community and develop personality so that youth could contribute in overall development of the nation.

A cultural programme was organised by NSS volunteers in the presence of Dr Karobi Das, Principal, NINE, and faculty members.

The volunteers will also conduct self-defence training, road safety campaign, Jal Sanrakshan Abhiyan and Ek Bharat Sareshat Bharat campaign.
