A valedictory function was held on the concluding day of the NSS camp. Prof Karamjeet Singh, Registrar, Panjab University, was the guest of honour. He appreciated the volunteers and coordinators for their efforts during towards the societal empowerment.
He shared his personal experience with social service with students. He quoted a Japanese concept called Ikigai. He encouraged the students to be conscious about their actions towards their environment. He honoured the USOL staff and administration for their support in smooth functioning of the camp.
Vikram Rana, NSS state liaison officer, graced the function. He gave a message on empathy and compassion through small efforts in daily life shared by the volunteers.
The winners of the poster making competition were also facilitated. Various committees such as the hospitality, registration, review committee, cultural, discipline, media and stage committee worked in unison for the success of the camp. A cultural function prepared by the cultural committee comprised of bhangra, skit on environment conservation, poetry, and Bollywood dance the ended with zealous performance of the volunteers.
