The Union Territory police was left puzzled after finding two severed feet wrapped in newspaper on a cycle track near Chandigarh’s Sector 17 road on Tuesday.

The cops received information and rushed to the spot. The feet were found lying near at bushes of the Sector 17 and Sector 18 dividing road.

The spot was video-graphed, and a team of Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CSFL) also reached. The cops examined the close by areas to check for more disembodied parts in the bushes.

“The feet seem to be of a woman”, said a police official. 

The feet are kept at the mortuary of Government of Multi-Speciality Hospital (GMSH) Sector 16. 

Meanwhile, the investigation has been initiated by the police at Sector 17 police station.
