Sharpshooter of Haryana gang arrested in Chandigarh

The Chandigarh Police’s Operations Cell has arrested 28-year-old Deepak Mor, a suspected arms supplier and sharpshooter linked to the notorious Jagbir gang of Sonepat.

Mor was arrested near Government Senior Secondary School in Sector 19. The police recovered a country-made pistol from his possession.

Acting on confidential information, a police team led by Inspector Ranjit Singh apprehended Mor under the Arms Act. The accused, a resident of Maloya in Chandigarh and hailing from Jind in Haryana, has a history of involvement in cases related to arms, murder, and robbery across Haryana and UP.

Investigations revealed that Mor had been operating an illegal liquor trade in Chandigarh and Mohali for several months. He is reportedly associated with inter-gang violence between the Jagbir and Sanjay groups, responsible for multiple murders and illegal land deals. The police said he carried firearms regularly and posed a serious threat to public safety.
