Two bike-borne miscreants fired 35 rounds at a Phase-7 house in Mohali and damaged three cars parked outside in the wee hours of Friday.

The incident took place behind the Phase-7 police station and NRI police station in Phase-7.

Complainant Maninder Singh stated that two bike-borne youths were seen in the CCTV footage, stopping and firing gunshots for close to 40 seconds outside the house before fleeing the spot. Three neighbours' cars were damaged in the shooting.

Maninder Singh, a retired government employee, said he has no known enemies nor does he suspect anyone.

The homeowner informed the police, after which a heavy police force reached the spot and began an investigation. No threat or ransom call has been received so far.
