Several organisations have come out openly in support of the need for need-based changes in favour of businesses.

One of the traders said, “As far as the heritage is concerned, we are entitled to practical and necessary need-based changes. And we will try and claim our rights. Else, after 20 days, the city traders will hand over the keys of their respective outlets to the administrator.” Another trader added that Mayor Anup Gupta has been working to help their interests.

Chandra Verma, Charanjiv Singh, Rajiv Dhawan, Sanjeev Avi Bhasin, MPS Chawla, Neeraj Bajaj, Manish Nigam, Surendra Gupta, Ritesh Arora, Sunil Khetrapal, Arun Mahajan were among those present on the occasion.
