The Mohali district administration has issued a show cause notice to Mayo Hospital in the city for misappropriation of government supply of Remdesivir injections for Covid patients.

Confirming the same, Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan said they had received a complaint today against misappropriation of state supply of Remdesivir injection for treatment of Covid-19 patients by Mayo Hospital, Mohali.

He said a show cause notice had been issued to the hospital authorities to reply within 48 hours.

According to information, the Remdesivir injections which are being provided at control rates to private hospitals by the state government for the treatment of Covid-19 patients were being taken wrongfully by the hospital without corresponding record of patients whom the injections are given, allegedly the injections are being misappropriated.
