Top-seed Shreyansh Choudhary defeated Delhi’s Arav Negi 15-11, 15-13 to march ahead in the boys’ U-15 category during the Yonex-Sunrise Ashwani Gupta Memorial All-India Sub-Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium here. Second-seed Aaditya Singh faced tough resistance from Saish before recording a 15-8, 10-15, 15-8 win, while Sathiyan Raghunandhan registered an identical win over Rugved Rothe 15-12, 13-15, 15-5.

Srichethan Shourya ousted Delhi’s Lakshay 15-13, 15-6, Liansangzela K of Mizoram defeated Darsh Joshi 21-19, 15-10 and Ahmad recorded a comeback 11-15, 17-15, 15-7 win over Tushan Rathee. In the other outings, Anukalp defeated Aarav Garg 15-8, 15-11, Abhilas Divakar ousted Vedant Rahi 15-4, 15-5, Rudra Pratap defeated Vishal D 15-11, 15-8 and Manav Dobhal stunned Armaan 15-9, 15-11. Kavya Kashyap improved from 12-15 to defeat Raghav Kaushik 15-9, 15-9 and Maanas Allu ousted Takar Rai 15-5, 17-15.

In the girls’ U-17 (third round), Lalremruati Tirza easily overpowered Devarshi Pandya 15-6, 15-8 and Lakshmi Sai Aaradhya defeated Anushuya Bhandari 15-6, 16-14.

Sanviya K struggled hard to defeat Vanadhi Choudahry 16-14, 7-15, 15-8 and Kanishka R ousted Venisha Kolhe 15-5, 15-5. Swati Nayak also moved into the next round by defeating Zuveriya Sandhi 15-5, 15-8 and Yazhini SK ousted Priyanshi 15-4, 15-7.

In the boys’ U-17 event, Aarush Pawaskar outplayed Abhinav Sharma 15-6, 15-13 and Girivasan outplayed Aaditya Singh 15-7, 15-4. Dev Shyan also moved into the next round by defeating Koshvendra Singh 15-3, 15-7 and Reechik posted a 15-11, 9-15, 15-7 win over Shanmukha. Anirudh Reddy defeated Kartikeygiri Goswami 15-3, 15-1, Karan Sanjai defeated Abhinav Dalal 15-4, 15-6 and Arnav Thakur ousted Swarit Satpute 15-10, 15-10.

Adharv Anish posted a comeback win over Tharun 13-15, 15-7, 15-10; Krishav Puppala ousted Shreesh Patil 15-11, 15-9 and Harshith S defeated Vedant Butola 15-9, 15-12.

Mudit Jain defeated Aarav Pratap Singh 15-10, 15-11, Lohidth R ousted Pratham Vishal Raut 15-10, 15-13 and Garvit Barwar posted a 15-8, 16-6 victory over Nirvaan Zaveri.
