Singer Sunanda Sharma lashes at Dhaliwal's 'roti paayee' comment

A day after Punjabi music producer Pinky Dhaliwal hinted that Sunanda Sharma was successful because of him, the singer hit back, saying “only God and her hard work had made her successful”.

When asked by mediapersons for his reaction on the whole controversy, Dhaliwal had used the term 'roti paayee' at the police station.

In her latest social media post, Sunanda wrote: They feed on our hard work and fill their pockets, but later treat us like beggars. Kehnde ne roti paayee enho main, chappalan paa ke ayi si (I made her successful, she had come to me in slippers), she posted without naming anyone.

The 33-year-old singer from Fatehgarh Churian claimed she had suicidal thoughts in the past. She thanked Punjab CM for his help.

Punjabi music producer Pinky Dhaliwal was arrested on Saturday after Sunanda Sharma filed a cheating, forgery and criminal intimidation complaint against him.
