Sirhind fruit & veggie market shut for week

Fatehgarh Sahib, April 28

The administration has decided to shut Sirhind Fruit and Vegetable Market for a week after a sudden increase in Covid-19 positive patients in Rajpura.

A large number of vegetable vendors from Rajpura, Mandi Gobindgarh and other areas had started coming to purchase vegetables from the town.

As Rajpura has become a hotspot, the administration does not want to take any chance and decided to close the Sabzi Mandi, said Gulshan Rai Bobby, chairman, Sirhind Market Committee. — OC
