Civil Surgeon Manjit Singh said she was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali on June 10 after she complained of breathlessness. She was later shifted to the Banur hospital. The district now has 30 active cases, whereas 116 patients have recovered and three have died due to the disease.

Meanwhile, panic gripped residents of Bhabat village where the wife of the 45-year-old patient runs a provision store as many villagers have come in her contact. The Health Department has sealed the area to check the spread of the virus. —TNS
